Enduring to the End!

In this video we learn a painful lesson, if we don’t endure to the end we won’t gain the prize. Being a distance runner I know how painful it can be to keep going all the way to the finish line, but we must keep going. Even though he ran an amazing race he couldn’t endure to the end and literally fell. On a spiritual sense we have to keep following the commandments of God all of our lives. The story of David is a perfect example of this. He started out great slaying Goliath and becoming King over all of Israel, but fell after committing adultery with Bathsheba and killing Uriah. Even though he did many amazing things he lost his divine potential due to mistakes made later in life. We learn how to overcome and endure to the end from King Benjamin in the Book of Mormon, “And see that all these things are done in wisdom and order; for it is not requisite that a man should run faster than he has strength. And again, it is expedient that he should be diligent, that thereby he might win the prize; therefore, all things must be done in order!” Mosiah 4:27 As we are patient and diligent we understand that we can always repent,  pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and win the race!
